Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- The Headquarters of the All-People Movement for Checking the Conclusion of the south Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement held a press conference on Thursday at a press center in Seoul to oppose the conclusion of humiliating agreement with the U.S.

Speakers at the conference said that if the FTA is concluded with the U.S., the south Korean agriculture will go to ruin.

They hit the authorities for getting hell-bent on the conclusion of FTA that will drive the people's existence to the brink of a cliff.

They declared that the people from all walks of life would unite and turn out in an intensive action to check passage of the "motion calling for the ratification of FTA" through the "National Assembly".

A "declaration of personages of various strata opposing the ratification of south Korea-U.S. FTA" in the name of 1,519 people was read out at the conference.
