Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Permanent representative Yun Mi Hyang and co-representative Han Kuk Yom of the Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps in south Korea released a joint statement on Thursday to accuse the chief executive of downplaying the issue of Japan's liquidation of the past.

At the talks with Japan's prime minister on Wednesday the chief executive of south Korea made no mention of the settlement of the issue of comfort women for the imperial Japanese army, the statement charged.

Referring to a Japanese newspaper's report that this issue was not brought up for discussion at the talks by the south Korean ruler's judgment, it said:

After all, through the talks he kept his principle that "he doesn't want to ask apology and reflection from Japan for matured south Korea-Japan relations".

We can hardly repress anger at his behavior that ignored the demand for solution to the comfort women issue made by its victims for some decades.

It is deception to call for peaceful future without settling the past.
