Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- Korean youth and students in Japan met in Tokyo on October 6 to mark the 4th anniversary of the historic October 4 declaration.

Present at the meeting were Kim Cha Dol, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Youth League in Japan, Pak Tong Ho, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Korean Students in Japan, Mun Se Hyon, chairman of the south Korean Youth League in Japan, league officials in Kanto and students of Joson University.

A reporter and speakers at the meeting recalled that Korean youth and students in Japan have waged the vigorous movement for national reunification under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration over the past years.

It is important to remove every obstacle lying in the way of national reconciliation and unity and reunify the country at an early date, they held, calling on all the Korean youth and students in Japan to play the vanguard role in the nationwide struggle for implementing the inter-Korean declarations.

Then, the participants watched a video dealing with the signal events made in the national reunification movement since the publication of the above-said declarations and the Korean's desire for reunification.
