Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- Media of different countries observed the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The Russian paper Patriot carried in its 38th issue an article titled "Party of leader and people" with a photo of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The DPRK is advancing towards the future with confidence as it has the WPK founded by Kim Il Sung and led by Kim Jong Il, the paper said.

The WPK is a revolutionary party guided by the progressive idea and a party representing the interests of the working class and all other people, it added.

The paper also edited a photo of the Party Founding Memorial Tower in Pyongyang.

The Ugandan paper Sun Rise on October 10 carried an article titled "On 66th anniversary of WPK" with a photo of Kim Jong Il, which stressed that the WPK would always emerge victorious under the guidance of Kim Jong Il.

This country's national radio and Syria's central TV channel and radio aired special reports on the anniversary of the WPK on the same day.
