Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- The Chinese paper People's Daily on October 19 carried its delegation's travelogue on the DPRK under the title of "Lot of changes in standard of people's living close at hand."

The appearance of Pyongyang witnessed by the delegation was friendly and exciting one, the travelogue noted, and continued:

The Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK pay primary attention to the work for improving the standard of people's living.

Housing construction is making brisk headway in various parts of the DPRK.

The Korean people are dynamically advancing to fling open the gate to a thriving nation.

It said that the WPK and the DPRK government are paying deep attention to the light industry and agriculture to steadily improve the standard of people's living and that citizens' dressing is becoming more beautiful and their life more bountiful as the days go by.

It also referred in detail to the delegation's impressions of the Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Silk Mill, the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm and the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital.
