Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- A Korean film week opened with due ceremony in Koeln City, Germany on Oct. 19 to mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and Germany.

The former director of the Northeast Asian Regional Office of the Goethe Research Institute and a cinema house proprietor of Germany said at the opening ceremony that the Korean film week marks the anniversary significantly.

Koeln City will boost cultural exchange with the DPRK and thus contribute to developing friendly relations between the two countries, they added.

After the ceremony, its participants watched Korean feature film "A Flower Girl".

In the period from Sept. 24 to Oct. 16 there were similar events in Berlin and another city of Germany.
