Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of different countries carried special write-ups to mark the 85th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with Imperialism Union (DIU).

Cambodia's paper People on October 17 carried a photo of President Kim Il Sung and an article, which said:

Independence is the fundamental principle and stand set forth by the DIU.

Songun is the eternal banner of the Korean revolution that most thoroughly embodied the DIU's idea of anti-imperialist struggle.

Unity is the mainstay of the Korean revolution the DIU regarded as the philosophy of invincibility.

The cause of Kim Il Sung has been successfully carried forward by General Secretary Kim Jong Il, the Russian paper Nakhodkinski Rabochi on Oct. 18 said, adding:

Kim Jong Il in his works including "The Workers' Party of Korea Is a Juche-Type Revolutionary Party Which Inherited the Glorious Tradition of the DIU" provided a foundation for the party to win victory by embodying the Songun politics.

The invincibility of Korean-style socialism lies in the single-minded unity of the Korean people around the leader, the paper said.

The Iranian paper Iran News on Oct. 18 elaborated on the programme of the DIU and the course of victory and glory covered by the Korean revolution for 80 odd years under the guidance of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
