Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- Japanese police have arrested two persons for drug possession and seized 893 cannabis plants which the two are believed to have cultivated in Saitama Prefecture of Japan, police said Thursday.

Turkish police impounded large amount of drugs in Istanbul, the eastern province of Van and the southeastern provinces of Hakkari and Sanliurfa.

Some 153.6 kilograms of heroin and 189 kilograms of hashish were seized and 14 people detained.
