Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, on Tuesday sent a message of sympathy to Abdulah Gul, president of Turkey, in connection with an earthquake that hit Turkey, claiming huge casualties and the loss of properties.

Kim, in the message, expressed deep sympathy to the president and, through him, the victims and bereaved families.

He hoped the Turkish government would eradicate the aftermath of the quake at an early date and bring the life of the people in the afflicted area to normal.
