Beijing, October 24 (KCNA) -- A member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the Communist Party of China (CPC) called for studying, introducing and implementing the spirit of the 6th Plenum of the 17th CPC Central Committee.

Speaking at a national meeting of officials of ideological and cultural affairs, Li Changchun said mass media should extensively introduce the guiding idea, major policy, goals and tasks for the development of the cultural reform contained in the decision of the plenum.

They should also let the people know how promoting a great development and prosperity of socialist culture is important and urgent and what is necessary in seeking the development of socialist culture with the Chinese characteristics, Li added.
