Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- "Swinging Girl" is one of the songs reflecting the optimistic life of the Korean people.

The folk song, created in the 1950s, represents two girls in beautiful dresses having a swing together, while enjoying a bird's-eye view of fields planted with rice and a ssirum (Korean wrestling) match.

The melody of the song, full of national feelings, embodies the characteristics of the Korean national music to suit modern aesthetic sense.

After enjoying the October Concert "We'll Travel One Road Forever" given by the Unhasu Orchestra some time ago to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea, Geeral Secretary Kim Jong Il expressed his satisfaction at the song arranged for orchestra on a high level.
