Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- A national presentation of scientific and technological achievements gained in the field of mathematics was made in Pyongyang on Tuesday and Wednesday under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Present there were officials, scientists, technicians, teachers and researchers of Kim Il Sung University, the Mathematics Institute under the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Chaek University of Technology and various other units in the field of science and education.

The presentation was divided into panels of basic and applied mathematics and numeral science. 130 papers were presented there.

The speakers introduced successes and experience gained in solving the mathematical issues which serve as a basic foundation for studying, developing and introducing science and technology, true to the Workers' Party of Korea's policy of attaching importance to science and technology.
