Beijing, October 26 (KCNA) -- The 15th Session of the 11th Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was opened in Beijing recently.

The session will discuss studying and implementing the spirit of the Sixth Plenum of the 17th Central Committee of the C.C., the Communist Party, invigorating the cultural system reform and promoting a great development and prosperity of socialist culture.

Addressing the opening session, Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of CPPCC, said promoting a great development and prosperity of socialist culture is what CPPCC has to undertake.
