Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- All the officials, party members and other working people of the country should give steady spurs to the drive for a great surge and dynamically advance toward the gate of prosperity by following the example set by people of South Hamgyong Province. Rodong Sinmun Friday says this in an editorial.

The flame kindled up in South Hamgyong Province represents the breath of heroic Korea dashing toward a thriving nation and the banner of victory of the Songun revolutionary surge, the editorial says, and continues:

The flame is an indication of the transparent faith to carry out the intention of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance to make the country a world power. It is also a manifestation of the spirit of vanguard to take the lead in opening the gate to a thriving nation by working hard in one's own neighborhoods and worksites.

It also represents the ardent loyalty of the Juche-type revolutionaries who value the behests of President Kim Il Sung and successfully implement them.

It is the spirit of strong national dignity of the people of South Hamgyong Province to decisively shatter the sanctions and blockade of the imperialist reactionaries with the hammer of self-supporting economy. It also represents popular heroism to bravely overcome any difficulties by dint of the strength and wisdom of the masses as well as indomitable spirit to stand up again and again till they win a final victory despite hundreds of failures.

The revolutionary capabilities and scientific creativity are main factors that enabled people in South Hamgyong Province to create new Chollima speed, Korean-style speed, and emerge ever-victorious in the production and construction.
