Beijing, October 27 (KCNA) -- Xu Caihou, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, called for promoting the prosperity and development of advanced military culture.

Addressing a meeting of studying the spirit of the 6th Plenum of the 17th C.C., the Communist Party of China Wednesday, Xu said the advanced military culture should be developed in line with President Hu Jintao's important instructions.

By doing so, a definite ideological guarantee and powerful spiritual motive force should be provided to promote a scientific development of the army and discharge its historic mission in an effective way, the vice-chairman added.
