Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- The title of honorary professor of Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun Conservatory was awarded to Pro. Stanislav Kalinin, dean of the Conducting Faculty of the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory of Russia.

An awarding ceremony took place at the Russian Conservatory on October 26.

Present there were Om Ha Jin, rector of the DPRK Conservatory, and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Moscow and Alexandr Sokolov, president of the Russian Conservatory, Vladimir Sukhanov, director for the International Cooperation Department of the Conservatory.

The certificate of the title of honorary professor of Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun Conservatory was conferred on Stanislav Kalinin.

He extended sincere thanks to Kim Jong Il for bestowing such glory on him.

The professor expressed his will to repay the benevolence and trust of Kim Jong Il by contributing to the development of the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and conservatories in the future.
