Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) -- Kim Kye Gwan, first vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, respectively met and had talks with Andrey Denisov, first deputy minister, and Aleksei Borodavkin, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, in Moscow on Friday.

Present there were from the DPRK side Kim Kye Gwan and his party and the DPRK ambassador to Russia, and from the Russian side officials concerned.

The talks had sincere discussions on the ways to comprehensively develop the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Russia by implementing the agreements reached at the DPRK-Russia summit and talks in Ulan-Ude during leader Kim Jong Il's historic visit to Siberia and Far East regions of Russia.

At the talks opinions over the situation of Northeast Asia including the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula were exchanged and the DPRK and Russia agreed to continue cooperation for peace and security in the region in the future.
