Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) -- Rim Je is well known as a progressive writer of Ri Dynasty (1392-1910).

Rim, born of a noble family, devoted himself to academic pursuits and writing together with Jong Chol, Ri I and other celebrated writers.

He, who hated feudalism, toured many areas of the country, enjoying the beautiful scenery and experiencing the poor living conditions of the common people.

He wrote many poems and fables critical of feudal rulers imposing sufferings and misfortune on common people through exploitation and compulsory labor.

He became famous for his works properly depicting the actual conditions of the country.
