Important Days of DPRK Observed Abroad

Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- Nearly 100 countries and regional organizations significantly celebrated the 66th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 85th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union. On the DPRK's October holidays personages of different circles in various countries paid congratulatory visits to DPRK missions and laid floral baskets and bouquets before the full-length portraits of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il. Political parties, organizations and personages of different countries, too, sent floral baskets and bouquets to DPRK embassies. Among them were the United Malays National Organization of Malaysia and the vice prime minister and foreign minister of Laos who is member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Lao People's Revolutionary Party. The Moscow Branch of the Association for the Study of the Juche Idea was inaugurated in Russia on the WPK's birthday. 400 odd celebration events took place in more than 80 countries and regional organizations including China, Russia, Nepal, Pakistan, South Africa, Benin, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Finland and the Secretariat of the Pan-African Movement. Media of different countries gave wide publicity to the greatness of the peerlessly great persons and the WPK's exploits. Political parties, organizations and institutions carried in their bulletins or posted on their Internet homepages articles and photos on the feats performed by the peerlessly great persons in leading the party building and the glorious history of the WPK. They included the Socialist Party of Romania, the Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna and the Kuwaiti preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung. |
