Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- Ex-U.S. President Jimmy Carter criticized the Middle East policy of the present U.S. Administration.

In a recent press interview, he said the present administration has given up the correct policy towards the Middle East, trying to support Israel in obstructing the Palestinians' effort for an independent state.
