Production of Consumer Goods Increases in DPRK

Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the light industrial field of the DPRK are bringing about improvement in production of consumer goods. Different units of light industry overfulfilled their October economic plans. The Knitting Industry Management Bureau, which has fulfilled its knitwear production plan every month, topped its October assignment 104%. The Kanggye Knitting Mill carried out its yearly plan through scrupulous arrangement of production. Songyo, Sinuiju and Sariwon knitting mills, the Pyongyang Children's Knitted Goods Factory, Aeguk Knitted Goods Factory and the Pyongyang Hosiery Factory fulfilled their October assignments on all indices. Units under the Ministry of Foodstuff and Daily Necessities Industry, too, overfulfilled their monthly plans through intensified cooperation among processes and shifts and the collective innovation drive. Among them are the Pyongyang Flour Processing Factory, Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory, Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory, Kyongryon Aeguk Soda-Pop Mill and the Taedonggang Food Factory. Those which overfullfilled the production on all indices include the Pyongyang Plastic Pencil Factory, Pyongyang Daily Necessities Factory, Sinuiju Enameled Ironware Factory, Kanggye Pencil Factory, Jonchon Match Factory and Rangnang and Hamhung disabled soldiers' essential plastic goods factories. The Textile Machine Industry Management Bureau fulfilled the monthly plan, increasing the production by 13% as compared with the same period of last year. The Pyongyang Textile Machine Factory, Pyongyang Auxiliary Parts Factory, Ongjin Knitting Needle Factory and the Sinuiju Spinning Machine Factory tapped all available latent reserves and potentials to raise the production results, thus making contributions to increasing the output of consumer goods. |
