Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai", opera portrayed by artistes of the Phibada Opera Troupe of the DPRK, was staged before full house in Daqing, China on Oct. 30 and 31.

It evoked lively response from the audience.

The deputy secretary of the Daqing City Committee of the Communist Party of China said he was greatly impressed by the opera, praising the high level of the Korean artistes.

He expressed thanks for giving such a fascinating performance.

The general manager of the Daqing Cultural Group and concurrently party secretary said that the performance of the opera in the city holds great significance.

He hoped that the DPRK art troupes would often come to the city in the future.

The former chairman of the Daqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference said that he felt deep feelings of friendship between the two peoples, wishing the troupe bigger success in its performance tour of China.

The chairman of the Literature and Art Association who is also chairman of the Dance Association in Heilongjiang Province said the Korean artistes portrayed the Chinese folk tale in a perfect way by displaying unique talents.

The art inspector general of Daqing Cultural Group said every scene of the opera was fascinating, adding that the rendition of the artistes was delicate and dance movements were perfect, in particular.
