Beijing, November 1 (KCNA) -- An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted the border area of the Qingchuan County in the city of Guangyuan in Sichuan Province and Wenxian County in the city of Longnan in Gansu Province Tuesday.

The epicenter was northeastern area in Sichuan Province.
