Moscow, November 2 (KCNA) -- Sergei Lavrov, foreign minister of Russia, in a statement on Nov. 1 warned the United States and NATO against the moves to deploy the missile defense system in Europe.

The talks still remain deadlocked between Russia and the U.S. and NATO to provide a legal guarantee that MD in Europe is not aimed at Russia, the statement said.

Such being a hard reality, the U.S. signed an agreement on deploying MD with Romania, it said, stressing: If the U.S. and NATO continue ignoring the view of Russia, it will take self-defensive step.
