Havana, November 2 (KCNA) -- Cuba on Monday accused the U.S. Agency for International Development of paying 3.4 million U.S. dollars for "operations of subversion" in the country. "In the midst of an economic crisis, when thousands of U.S. citizens are living in precarious conditions because of the loss of work and homes, this contribution to the so-called Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba (FHRC) takes place," said the official Granma daily.

It said the FHRC is a branch of the Cuban American National Foundation (CANF), an organization involved in planning acts of "terrorism" against the Caribbean nation, and added that the "terrorist nature" of the CANF has been proven by declassified documents.
