Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea released a commentary on October 30 in denunciation of the U.S.-south Korea annual security consultative meeting aimed at strengthening their military tie-up.

The military authorities of south Korea and the U.S. held an annual security consultative meeting in Seoul on October 28 at which they agreed to form a combined defense council.

The formation of this council, which is to embrace all meetings dealing with military affairs, will result in deepened dependence of south Korea on the U.S. in military field since the latter seizes a wartime operational control at present.

At the consultative meeting the warmongers agreed to strengthen the capability for joint counteraction against "local war provocation" by someone, thus further strengthening the U.S. military domination and interference in south Korea.

Worse still, they were seeking to expand the sphere of their military nexus even to outer space. In this case the U.S. will hold a dominant position in military strength by realizing the weaponization of outer space with south Korean resources.

The meeting also discussed such matters as developing the extended deterrence policy committee, which will bring a nuclear war crisis to the Korean Peninsula, and shifting on south Korea the burden of expenses for transfer of the U.S. military base.

Recalling the facts, the commentary said the meeting was for threatening peace on the Korean Peninsula and further pressuring the DPRK through strengthened alliance for aggression.

The authorities of south Korea and the U.S. should stop such act of going against the trend of peace and come out for the conclusion of treaty for peace on the Korean Peninsula and the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea, it held.
