Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- China's permanent representative to UN called on the international community to ensure women's rights and interests.

Speaking at a recent meeting of the UN Security Council, the Chinese official underscored the need to avert war and armed conflict in order to decrease women's damage.

To this end, the UN should promote peaceful solutions to disputes through dialogue and negotiations, the official said.
