Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet forces and the U.S. imperialist aggression troops present in south Korea have staged in Phohang, North Kyongsang Province, a DPRK-targeted joint landing drill as part of Hoguk, large-scale joint military exercises.

Involved in the drill announced by the warmongers on Tuesday were troops of the 1st Division of the south Korean marine corps and tanks, armored cars, artillery pieces, helicopters and fighters and other huge armed forces.

It is aimed to occupy the depth of the coast they landed and ensure consecutive landing of their rear units.

This drill, kicked off on Oct. 28, will last till the last day of the Hoguk exercises after being expanded to division-level scale for the first time under the present "government" of south Korea.

Meanwhile the puppet 2nd Army Corps has been engaged in the rehearsal for attack on the DPRK in Hwachon of south Korean Kangwon Province with mobilization of its special warfare units since the start of the Hoguk exercises, which are going on across south Korea.
