Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- A seminar and a photo exhibition took place in Italy and a seminar in Uganda on Oct. 27 and 28 to mark the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 85th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU).

On display in the photo exhibition hall were works of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and photos showing the Korean people in the efforts for socialist construction and national reunification.

The secretary of a district, Rome, committee of the Communist Reconstruction Party of Italy noted at a seminar that General Secretary Kim Jong Il formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as an integrated system of idea, theory and method of Juche and proclaimed the program of modeling the whole society on the Juche idea. He has consistently embodied the line of attaching importance to ideology, the secretary said, adding:

The root of the Workers' Party of Korea was already set when the President formed the DIU to usher in the building of a revolutionary party.

The Korean people will continue to vigorously advance along the road of socialism chosen by them under the banner of Juche and always emerge victorious.

Justin Keyune, chief of the Group for the Study of Songun Politics of Kampala Coloro Higher Middle School of Uganda, and other speakers stressed that the Juche idea, enriched and developed by Kim Jong Il, is the great idea to be followed by the world progressives.
