Beijing, November 3 (KCNA) -- China hopes that the European Union will take positive measures to solve the debt problem, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters, Hong Lei said China will join the international community in the effort for overcoming the present economic difficulties and promoting the recovery and growth of the global economy.
