Chinese Newspaper on Travelogue of DPRK

Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- China's newspaper Guangming Ribao on Monday carried an account of the China Foreign languages Press Publishing and Distribution Administration delegation's trip to the DPRK under the title of "Visit to DPRK in autumn". The paper noted that the delegation visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung, the Tower of the Juche Idea, the Arch of Triumph, the International Friendship Exhibition House, the West Sea Barrage, etc., and enjoyed the grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang". In recent years the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government, holding fast to the Juche idea, have strived to develop the light industry in a big way, innovate agriculture and improve the people's standard of living by attaching importance to the economic growth while steadily pressing ahead with the defense and army building, it said. Recalling the Arduous March made by the Korean people towards the close of the last century, it said that the Korean party and government set a goal of opening the gate to a thriving nation in 2012 which marks the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung. It also introduced the Friendship Tower. |
