Beijing, November 4 (KCNA) -- A Chinese State Councilor, Liu Yandong, called on schools to focus on improving qualifications of students.

During her recent inspection tour of a secondary school affiliated to Beijing Normal University, Liu said the school should thoroughly implement the educational policy of the Communist Party and carry forward the excellent tradition of school management.

The school should rear students as comprehensively developed and progressive personnel by improving their qualifications and bringing about a substantial and tangible development in education, she added.
