Beijing, November 4 (KCNA) -- The 2nd conference of agriculture ministers of BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) was held recently in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China.

Discussed at the conference was a program for ensuring food safety through close cooperation.

Speaking at the conference on behalf of the Chinese government, Vice-Premier Hui Liangyu said BRIC is one of the most vigorous entities in the global economy.

The Chinese official called for strengthening cooperation among the member nations with importance put on common interests.
