Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- The Inchon Measure Preparatory Committee for Abolishing the "National Security Law" and Frustrating Suppression under Pretence of Security against Cooking up the Case of the "Iljin Association" held a press conference outside the Inchon branch of the Intelligence Service on November 3 demanding a stop to the reckless suppression. The committee groups labor and civic organizations, political parties and others in Inchon, south Korea.

The organization denounced the IS for sending a written request for attendance to core members of trade unions, religionists and figures of opposing parties in Seoul and Inchon alleging their possible connection with the IA case.

This is a revelation of the sinister intention to divide the progressive forces ahead of the next year's elections, it noted.

It termed the case a smear campaign planned by the authorities to tide over the present political crisis.
