Beijing, November 6 (KCNA) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao called for stabilizing commodity prices worldwide.

Speaking at a summit conference of the G20 held in Cannes, France, Friday, Hu said stabilizing major commodity prices should be combined with promoting the world economic growth and ensuring the world energy and food safety.

To this end, cooperation among nations should be strengthened, the president added.
