Pyongyang, November 8 (KCNA) -- The Phibada Opera Troupe of the DPRK on a performance tour of China staged the opera "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" several times in various cities of Heilongjiang and Liaoning provinces.

Figures and citizens from all walks of life in the Northeastern region of China expressed their excited feelings after watching the opera.

The deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China said the opera is making great contributions to deepening the Sino-Korean friendly relations and boosting the exchange and cooperation in the arts.

The director of the Cultural Department in Liaoning Province noted the opera truly depicts the feelings of the Chinese people, adding he will learn from the spirit of the DPRK artistes.

The deputy-director of the Cultural Department in Liaoning Province admired the excellent talents of the performers.

A stage decorator of the Daqing Opera said that not only song, dance and orchestral music but all the processes ranging from stage lighting, decor and setting to the change of scenes are perfect.

A person of Scotland of UK noted that the opera is beyond imagination, adding that such a wonderful opera would enjoy great admiration if it is staged in such countries as UK, the U.S., Italy and Switzerland.
