Beijing, November 7 (KCNA) -- A Chinese vice-premier called for a bigger success in the rehabilitation of the quake-stricken area.

During his recent tour of the quake-stricken area in Wenchuan, Sichuan Province, Hui Liangyu said a great change has been made by people of the afflicted area in the rehabilitation under the guidance of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the State Council and with assistance from across the country.

"On the basis of the success, we should work hard to open up a new phase of socio-economic development," he added.
