Beijing, November 7 (KCNA) -- China's Vice-Premier Hui Liangyu, at a recent video telephone conference, called for launching extensive irrigation projects in winter and spring seasons.

Hui said the well-done projects are of weighty significance in stabilizing agricultural production next year and increasing the capacity of preventing natural calamities.

The vice-premier underscored the need to push forward the projects timely by mobilizing many people.
