Rodong Sinmun Hits at S. Korean Authorities' Anti-DPRK Policy

Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities' "policy toward the north" is, in essence, a war policy to realize their ambition for invasion of the DPRK in collusion with foreign forces, says Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a bylined article. Their moves to provoke a new war are an act of intentionally wrecking peace and aggravating the situation of the Korean Peninsula, the article says, and goes on: Peace and stability in the peninsula are a basic guarantee for independent reunification and national prosperity. To ensure durable peace in the peninsula is directly related to realizing peace and stability in Northeast Asia and fully accords with the desire of the world's peace-loving people. However, the south Korean military warmongers throw a wet blanket over the atmosphere of detente and peace, still clamoring about "threat" from someone. The U.S. and the south Korean military warmongers are displeased with the trend of the times and want the escalated tension to go on in the peninsula. The escalation of the tension gives them a pretext for the aggression troops' permanent presence and arms build-up in south Korea. In actuality, the U.S. military warmongers have blared that they would not withdraw their aggression forces from south Korea despite the reduction of defense expenditures. That is why the warmongers at home and abroad are getting hell-bent on the moves to ignite a war while steadily making such worn-out sophism as "provocation" by someone. The south Korean belligerent forces' war moves is the last-ditch effort to get rid of the crisis of collapse. All Koreans in the north, the south and abroad should turn out in the nation-wide struggle to decisively frustrate the dangerous war moves of the U.S. and south Korean military warmongers and open a turning phase of independent reunification by our nation itself. |
