Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- Today marks the 40th birthday of the Korean Mass Gymnastics Production Company.

The company, a winner of Kim Il Sung Order, specializes in creating and disseminating mass gymnastics.

It produced mass gymnastic display "Mangyongdae where the sun of revolution rose" as its first work on the occasion of the 60th birthday of President Kim Il Sung.

Over the past 40 years the company has created 35 monumental masterpieces and performed them on more than 1 180 occasions, drawing nearly 15.5 million audiences.

Kim Il Sung Prize and People's Prize were conferred on mass gymnastic display "The people sing of their leader" and "Single-minded unity", grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Ever-victorious Workers' Party of Korea" and several other works.

The grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang" was registered in Guinness Book of World Records in August 2007 for its signal contribution to the development of human culture and arts.

The company has made contribution to the development of friendly relations among countries through disseminating the Korean-style mass gymnastics to the world.

It has produced many winners of state commendations including winner of Kim Il Sung Prize, Labor Hero, People's Athlete and People's Artiste.
