Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- The 40th birthday of the Korean Mass Gymnastics Production Company was marked in the DPRK.

President Kim Il Sung founded the company specializing in creation and dissemination of mass gymnastics on Nov. 10, Juche 60 (1971), and clearly indicated the orientation and ways for its development.

Leader Kim Jong Il has led the work to develop mass gymnastic into Korean-style comprehensive gymnastic of sports type, a combination of ideological and artistic value, sports technique, ranks for gymnastics, background and band music.

Since its birth the company has covered the glorious course of development over the past 40 years.

Its creators and officials produced dozens of works as masterpieces of the times and thus contributed to demonstrating the invincible might of Songun Korea, where all the people are united as one around the Party, and the appearance of Korean mass gymnastics. Among them are grand mass gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang", a winner of Kim Il Sung Prize, and mass gymnastic display "We will defend red flag under leadership of General", a winner of People's Prize.

The company also made contribution to developing the DPRK's friendly relations with other countries by widely disseminating the mass gymnastics to the world.

A celebration meeting took place at the Central Youth Hall Thursday.

Read out at the meeting was a congratulatory message of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea addressed to the creators and officials of the company.
