U.S.-S. Korean Nuclear War Exercises Flayed

Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) -- Recently the U.S. Strategic Command staged "exercises for operating extended deterrence means" under the supervision of the "extended deterrence policy committee". The exercises, participated in by military and diplomatic officials of the U.S. and south Korea, were made up of consultation on the way of applying extended deterrence means, decision-making procedures, etc, allegedly to cope with "nuclear threat" from the DPRK, and actual maneuvers. The U.S. and south Korean authorities seek to draft a "coordinated deterrent strategy" by applying the detailed "operation means" in real earnest after staging similar exercises twice or thrice in near future. Commenting on this fact, a news analyst of Rodong Sinmun Monday says: The exercises are a reckless action that can be done only by those determined to ignite a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula. They are an inevitable outcome of the U.S. and south Korean authorities' nuclear cooperation and design for invasion of the DPRK. As is clear to everyone, it is not the U.S. and south Korea but the DPRK that is posed to nuclear threat. If the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces had not resorted to the scheme to provoke a nuclear war against the DPRK for several decades, the nuclear issue would not have surfaced in the Korean peninsula. This being a hard reality, they are clamoring about the non-existent "nuclear threat" from the DPRK while rendering the situation tense. The said exercises were pursuant to the "extended deterrence strategy" whereby the U.S. promised its nuclear support to south Korea. The reality clearly shows again who the wrecker of peace, war maniac seeking to provoke a nuclear war on the peninsula, is. |
