Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) -- DPRK Premier Choe Yong Rim Saturday made field survey of production and technological updating process at industrial establishments in Chongjin.

After touring the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the Ranam Coal-mining Machine Complex and the Chongjin Steel Works which are making innovations in production of iron and steel and ordered equipment, he called consultative meetings of officials concerned at them.

Discussed at the meetings were such measures as to increase iron production by perfecting the Juche-based steel-making system and accelerating the construction of vertical furnace.

On Sunday the premier acquainted himself with production at the Kyongsong Insulator Factory and construction of Yombunjin Hotel on the spot.
