Chinese Military Delegation Arrives

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- A high-ranking military delegation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army led by Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China and director of the General Political Department of the CPLA, arrived here Tuesday by a chartered plane.

The delegation included Lieut. Gen. Ding Jiye, deputy director of the CPLA General Logistics Department, Lieut. Gen. Chen Xiaogong, deputy commander of the Air Force, Lieut. Gen. Wang Dengping, political commissar of the North Sea Fleet of the Navy, Lieut. Gen. Zhao Zongqi, chief of the Staff of the Jinan Military Area, Major General Kan Likui, vice-director of the Operation Department of the General Staff of the CPLA, Major General Ci Guowei, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Ministry of National Defense, Major General Li Fengshan, deputy secretary-general of the General Office of the General Political Department of the CPLA, and other general officers and officers.

It was met at the airport by general officers and officers of the Korean People's Army and the ambassador and the military, naval air attache of the Chinese embassy here.

A welcome ceremony took place in front of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Memorial Tower.

Attending it were the Chinese delegation and Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Liu Hongcai, Sun Yanfeng, military, naval air attache, and staff members of the Chinese embassy. Also present were Kim Jong Gak, member of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea and first vice director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People's Army, General Pak Jae Gyong and other KPA generals and officers.

Kim Jong Gak and Li Jinai reviewed a guard of honor of the KPA.

Li Jinai was presented with bouquets by a KPA servicewoman and a woman of the Chinese embassy.
