Flood Damage in Southeast Asian Countries

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- Flood accompanied by heavy rains which started in Southeast Asian countries four months ago caused heavy human and material damage.

Nearly 1,000 persons were killed and about 9 million others suffered in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and other regional countries as of Nov. 10.

529 persons were killed and 23-33 billion U.S. dollar worth of material losses was caused in Thailand, in particular. Those countries are taking steps to eradiate the aftermath of damage.
