Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- The 2011 Autumn Commodity Fair was opened at the Pyongyang Underground Shop with due ceremony on Tuesday.

Presented to the fair were more than 2,043,600 pieces of 500 odd kinds of products from Pyongyang and various provinces.

Light industrial establishments in the city of Pyongyang turned out many quality essential foodstuff, confectionery and daily necessities. Among them are the Essential Foodstuff Factory, Cornstarch Factory, Cosmetics Factory and Daily Necessities Factory.

South and North Hwanghae, South Phyongan, Jagang and other provinces displayed agricultural products, seafood, wooden ware, grasswork, etc. produced with rich raw materials and resources available in localities.

Attending at the opening ceremony were Vice-Premier Ri Mu Yong, officials concerned and commercial officials and workers from Pyongyang and different provinces.

Minster of Commerce Kim Pong Chol made an opening address.
