Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- University teachers of education-related organizations in south Korea called a press conference on Nov. 11 at which they made public a declaration on the situation in protest against the authorities' unreasonable education policy. They included the Council of Professors for Democracy, Professors Trade Union, Council of Scientific Organization and the Part-time Professors Trade Union.

The declaration said that universities are following in with the authorities' policy for commercializing education, being downgraded to business centers for training job-seekers.

Students lack courage to deeply explore the truth and teachers have become specialized in giving lectures on employment competition, it deplored, adding:

This development is attributable to the present "government."

It demanded the authorities enforce proper education policy.
