Korean Stamp Exhibition Hall

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- The Korean Stamp Exhibition Hall, located in Changgwang Street in Pyongyang, was opened in September Juche 92 (2003).

The hall, with a total floor space of several hundred square meters, displays more than 5 700 kinds of postage stamps which have been issued since the founding of the DPRK.

They include the DPRK's first stamp "Samson Rock" published on March 12, Juche 35 (1946) and stamps showing the long history, culture, customs, nature, geography, animals, plants, and physical culture of Korea and international events, as well as various sorts of souvenir envelopes, postcards and cards.

Trophies, medals and diplomas won at international stamp contests are also displayed in the hall.

The hall hosts stamp expositions every year and gives services like stamp introduction and sale.

The hall is always crowded with local people, overseas Koreans and foreigners.
