Beijing, November 14 (KCNA) -- Meng Jianzhu, minister of Public Security of China, recently called for increasing the fire prevention capacity throughout the country.

Speaking at a meeting with firemen in Beijing, he said it is necessary for the protection of people's lives and properties to carry forward fine traditions in the fire-fighting field and steadily improve fire prevention capacity, based on the popular masses.

Specially, it is important to honestly implement General Secretary Hu Jintao's call for faithfully and devotedly serving the people, he added.
