S. Korean Rev. Calls for Stop to Jeju Naval Base Construction

Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- A high-ranking military delegation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army led by Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China and director of the CPLA General Political Department, Wednesday laid wreaths before the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong and the Friendship Tower. Present there were General of the Korean People's Army Pak Jae Gyong and Ambassador Liu Hongcai and Military, Naval and Air Attache Sun Yanfeng of the Chinese embassy here. The members of the delegation laid bouquets before the bust of Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese war hero, at the cemetery and observed a moment's silence in memory of her. Wreaths were placed before the cemetery and tower in the name of the delegation. They paid silent tribute to the revolutionary martyrs and the fallen fighters of the Chinese People's Volunteers. The head of the delegation made entries in the visitor's books. |
